new day

it is another bright and lovely day
the month has filled its yearly life with sun
giving spring a leg up out to play
bringing smiles to winters usual glum

every day i wake up from my rest
greatful that i'm home and safe once more
looking out my window feeling blessed
with love from every corner every door

january spring a pause in seasons
skys so blue the heavens reflect light
answering all the questions giving reasons
for this wondrous living holy sight

thankful for this days abundant living
amazed my path's so beautiful and winning
