laughter
extacies

always startling

in all ways

stunning

the timing of strangers
passing
at the exact
point
exactly
at
the same
time

each life
lead
to meet at one
exact
moment
then to pass
unobserved
into
mist

rain happens
here and there perfectly
drops splash identicly
in one
precise spot
colors
blend
shift
change
each drop a stranger
each drop the same

it is coming
here
the rain is

it is welcomed and feared
a queen arriving at
a
doorstep

a short sighted
minion
in her service
welcomes
accomodates
desiring her power
fearing her presence

and

the rain
is coming fast tonight
the earth is opening
a concubine
readying
herself
awakened
open

birds
excite the air

darkening silence
decends

a memory
cloaks the starred
cieling

the wind brings
lightning

frenzy

leaves chatter

forests
whistle
and sway
the dance begins

the first drops fall
like tiny gifts
from
a careless diety

slowly
the
symphony builds
a slow lover
inevitable
without
challenge
or
match

decending
in cold sheets
spreading
life
to seedlings in hiding

birth comes
drenched and wailing

singing:

"it is my season
it is my time
i shall grow into my birthright
bear fruit
be reclaimed
then
born
once more
to the reaching
dream of rain
to the warm flooding
saturation
of the sun"
