spring

ladadee lada dum

will the spring ever come
the daffodils think
the crocusus blink
and the winter is still not done
the robins are here
the flycatchers near
the horses are shedding
the bears are done bedding
and the snow she just keeps on a coming
the scientists say
that these are the days
that the global is doing it's warming
but you can't tell by me
or the ice in the trees
cause the winter it keeps on a running
i just don't know
i'm tired of the snow
and the freezing
the chilling most mornings
i'd rather be where
there's warm in the air
and the birds are all singing at dawning
